Features of the 2025 Everything Planner

The Everything Planner was aptly named, because it really has enough space for EVERYTHING – all of your planning in one place.

In fact, I created it because I myself wasn’t happy with the diaries that were available in the South African market. There simply wasn’t enough space on the pages to write all my lists and reflections.

In this article, I want to highlight the features of the Everything Planner, so that you can make the decision whether it is right for you. If, after reading this article, you still have questions, please feel free to send me an email at karin@dear-diary.co.za and I’ll do my best to answer it for you.

Please note:

The images used in this article are mockup images, which means they were created digitally and not by photographing the actual product.

Their purpose is to show the page designs and layouts clearly.

In some images, the designs might be slightly stretched.

Features at the front of the planner

Firstly, the planner has numerous features at the front to set yourself up for a successful year.

These include a yearly overview, a space to record birthday dates, pages to plan your goals, travel dreams and hopes for the year, space to create a daily routine for yourself, space to keep a record of your car maintenance, a three-year overview and habit trackers (which can also be used as a menstrual cycle tracker).

The yearly overview lets you keep track of important dates, holidays, birthdays, appointments and more at a glance. It’s a great way to make sure you don’t overschedule or double book any dates.

The birthday page lets you write down the important birthdays in your life, so that you don’t forget them. This is also a great tool for when you are creating your monthly budget, because you can quickly see all the people who have a birthday in the upcoming month.

The car maintenance page allows you to keep a record of services, license renewals, insurance, etc.

The goals and travel dream pages in the planner are blank canvasses to create the year you want. Write down what you hope to achieve, where you hope to travel to, where you see yourself in a year’s time.

The daily routine page can be edited throughout the year as you work on crafting a routine that helps you to achieve your goals.

There are three habit tracker pages, which you can use to track different habits by colouring in the squares in the tracker. This can also be used as a menstrual cycle tracker.

Monthly Planning Features

At the beginning of every month, there is a calendar with enough space to create an overview of the month ahead. There is also a small calendar to the side of the next month, to plan ahead even further.

Each month has a monthly budget page. This can be used either to create a budget where you plan your spending, or to track your spending through the month. There is also space to set savings goals and create a wish list.

Each month also has a full page to write down your hopes, goals and dreams for the month.

At the end of each month, there is a full page to reflect on the past month. This is a very helpful practice if you want to set effective goals for the month ahead.

Each month also has a cover page which can be used as a colouring page, or left black and white. In 2025, these colouring pages are all illustrations of desk flatlays.

Weekly Planning Features

These two pages are perhaps the most magical of the Everything Planner. Each week has a weekly overview and meal planner page, as well as a page for lists, notes and stuff. These extra two pages provide that extra bit of space you need to really prepare for the week ahead and enter it feeling organised and on top of things.

Daily Planning Pages

The Everything Planner has a page per day. Each page has the date, a quote or special day and then there is a block which allows for gratitude journaling. On the left, there is space for writing lists and notes, and an area to record your meal plan and exercise for the day. On the right is a schedule which starts at 05:00 and goes up in 30 minute intervals.

Features at the Back of the Planner

The planner also has an overview for the next year at the back, perfect for planning ahead.

There are also a few blank pages at the back of the planner where you can write extra notes and lists, or where you can stick in important pages.

There is also a list of meal ideas at the back of the planner to make your meal planning as easy as possible. Sometimes you just need a little inspiration, you know?

Features of the Physical Diary

The Everything Planner is a hardcover, book bound book. Because it has extra pages when compared to standard diaries, it is also a little thicker.

It has 4 placeholder ribbons.

There are two sizes available, the A5 and the A4.

Comparing the A5 and the A4 Planners

The A5 and the A4 Everything Planners have the exact same inner features. Their size is literally the only difference.

If you are planning on taking your planner with you as you travel, or if you work away from home a lot, the A5 may be a better option because it is more compact.

The A4 planner is very bulky. It is ideal if you’re mainly going to leave your planner lying open on the desk.

The A4 lies flat open at all times. The A5 usually lies flat open, unless you are right at the end or right at the beginning of the planner. Bubblegumfringe sells a very nifty clip that you can use to keep your pages together and make your planner stay open flat, which I recommend if this bothers you.

You can use the code deardiary10 on the Bubblegumfringe website to get 10% off your order.

Unfortunately, the size of the Everything Planner does not allow it to be wire-bound.
